• How accurate are your Manufacturing Lead-Times?

  
  
  

  ...The manufacturing time listed on each product is our most accurate estimate on the availability of an item. We constantly check and revise lead times, and while they are estimated--not guaranteed--they are known to be fairly precise. Certain situations such as raw material availability, seasonal demand, etc. must be considered.

• What types of couplers are available for tractor loader back-hoes and hydraulic excavators?
  
  

  ...There are “pin-grabber” type couplers that will grab pin on type attachments, and there is the “system” type of coupler and attachments that utilize a standardized mating bracket.

Within these categories there are manual, hydraulically actuated and manually actuated hydraulic tilting versions.

  Advantages

  ...You can use your existing attachments easily without an expensive conversion process.  

...Increased weight, increased tip length which decreases breakout forces and stability. This extended length can also cause premature linkage wear.

...They have short tip radius, lighter weight and can interchange between different brands of machines that have similar couplers.

...The existing attachments have to be converted over by modifying the top portion of the attachment and, some of the past designs of hitch-hookups have a tendancy to get sloppy over time.

• Couplers in General: Currently switch buckets by driving out the pins. If I switch to a quick coupler system, what savings should I expect in the first year?
  
  

  ...Not only does the operator save time by not having to pound out the pins, but because it is easier to change attachments, it is more likely that the correct attachment will be used for the right job, which saves even more time, not to mention the savings associated with less number of injuries.

  All in all, a single tractor loader backhoe owner will benefit on the order of several thousand dollars by switching from pin on attachments to a coupler system.

  Bodine's Custom Manufacturing Facility enables us to build almost anything. Although we be updating our pages whenever possible, we are always building new attachments and variations of existing attachments.

• I am considering a coupler for my backhoe. Why should I buy a QC System coupler and tools?
  
  

  ... The advantage over a pin-grabber type is that the weight is less and the tip radius is less. If you have several different brands of machines, all the attachments will be interchangeable. The hook-up is also easier because you don’t have to be on a level surface to pick up the attachment.
